Deborah is currently responsible for leading Te Whatu Ora’s oral health work programme in partnership with Te Aka Whai Ora. She is currently the Interim Director, Population Health Programmes, Commissioning; prior to this she was the Deputy Director - General Population Health and Prevention at the Ministry of Health. She has worked in the health sector for over 25 years and during this time has had a number of roles involving oral health. These range from leading the Ministry team that developed Good Oral Health for All for Life to a Service Group Manager role with Hutt Valley DHB looking after Surgical, Women's and Children's Health.
