Dr Margaret Clark
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Margaret has worked as a community dentist at iwi-led health service Ora Toa, a private dentist in Wellington, been an executive member of Te Ao Mārama (NZ Māori Dental Association) and the Wellington Branch of the NZ Dental Association, Margaret has been working to reduce the equity gap and improve access to oral health services across the region through grants, donations and events.

'Mauri Ora: a model in practice' is a brief look at how we can utilise health promotion models into service delivery. Mauri Ora refers to the essence of life, and for Māori it is our aspiration for wellbeing. Moving beyond treatment of disease, we instead look at strategies to improve the health of our community, and empower our patients with the tools they need to enhance their own health.
