Dentist Programme

ACC Treatment Injury and the role of the specialist advisor

  1. Definition of Treatment Injury (as most dentists don’t understand it correctly ) ACC must have some good slides on this
  2. Clearer understanding of an underlying condition and the fact that ACC is not a third party available just to restore someone’s dentition that has suffered from neglect
  3. A quick summary of cases that come through and ACC can provide some data here
  4. One or two interesting cases to clarify some points of treatment injury e.g. chemotherapy and dental decay
  5. What dentists need to provide in these cases
  6. A call out to senior/experienced dentists who may be interested in the role of an external ACC advisor and what to expect e.g. time involved
