Dr. Ben Sellick began his career in laboratory medicine, gaining expertise in human pathophysiology, microbiology, and biochemistry before pursuing a career in dentistry. He graduated with honours from The University of Sydney in 2008 and returned to Adelaide to enter private practice. In 2014, he completed a specialist Prosthodontics residency at The University of Adelaide, earning a doctoral qualification with a thesis focused on micro-CT analysis of genuine versus non-genuine implant components.

Dr. Sellick is a sought-after lecturer, presenting nationally and internationally on prosthodontics and implant dentistry. He is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and previously served as President of the South Australian branch of the Australian Prosthodontic Society. He currently holds a leadership role within ITI Australasia as Education Delegate.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Sellick is an industry Key Opinion Leader and product evaluator for leading dental companies. He has been actively involved in mentoring and clinical training for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Today, he maintains two specialist referral-based prosthodontic practices in Adelaide and Hobart, in addition to being a founding partner of ZAGA Centre Adelaide and ProMAX, a multidisciplinary specialist practice focused on complex oral rehabilitation.

His professional interests include digital workflows in prosthodontics, advanced treatment planning, complex aesthetic rehabilitations, and implant dentistry—including zygomatic and remote anchorage solutions.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sellick enjoys time with his family and managing his Adelaide Hills acreage, where he raises cattle and cultivates a vineyard, embracing his passion as both vigneron and viticulturist.
