Sunitha Gowda

Sunitha is a Public Health Dentist based in Whangārei, dedicated to improving oral health outcomes for Māori, Pacific peoples, and rural communities across Northland. As the Oral Health Advisor for Te Tai Tokerau, she brings expertise in dental public health, with a strong focus on equitable access to care. Sunitha recently led a national review of dental services for acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease patients aged 18 and over, supporting improved pathways to oral health care across Aotearoa New Zealand.
